(001) Why a Bazaar? Culture is driven by exchange. Consider the exchange of goods, ideas and notably, taste. The Bazaar is a 72-hour pop-up experience where physical subculture meets digital economy.
(002) What is Community-Led Commerce? Community commerce gives creative entrepreneurs the ability to blend emerging technology and subcultural production. Unlike “social commerce,” where adtech algorithms are programmed to influence social media users to spend as much money as possible, community commerce is a form of subcultural proliferation via emerging technology.
(003) Who are our vendors? We’re bringing members of our extended community to the forefront of our marketplace. We’re excited to be working with many of the same collaborators, speakers, and artists who have played a role in shaping FEST and FWB at large, and whose ideas and approaches continue to shape the larger space.
(004) Why PYUSD? Since 1998, PayPal has relentlessly innovated with the mission of offering its users a trusted, FRICTIONLESS, and global payment option. With PYUSD, they bring their scale, proven legitimacy, and novel opportunities for the onchain exchange of value.
(005) How can I get PYUSD on Solana? Launch the Phantom Wallet app or browser extension on your device. If you don’t have the wallet installed, follow the setup instructions at phantom.app. In the Phantom Wallet interface, click the “Buy” button located on the home screen. In the token selection list, type “PYUSD” in the search bar. Select PYUSD as the token you want to purchase. Make sure it is PYUSD SOL as designated by the SOL icon. Phantom supports multiple payment options like Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers. Choose your preferred method for the purchase. Specify the amount of PYUSD you want to buy. Phantom will show the equivalent cost in your selected fiat currency and any associated fees.
(006) What is FWB? Friends With Benefits is a new kind of cultural institution driven by emerging technology. We are a globally dispersed member-based community of creative technologists.
